BETH - WOOD BASEBALL ROOKIES / MINORS /
MAJORS 2010 SCREENINGS

Dear Parents and Players :
The Beth -
Wood Baseball League (B - W) will be holding its Screenings
(Try-Outs) for the Rookies, Minors and Majors Divisions on the
following dates :
Rookies
|
Dates : Wednesday, March 3rd & Saturday, March 6th
Location : Steve Hine’s Sports Facility (Milford, CT)
|
Minors
|
Dates : Saturday, Feb. 27th & Monday, March 1st
Location : Steve Hine’s Sports Facility (Milford, CT)
|
Majors
|
Dates : Sunday, February 28th & Tuesday, March 2nd
Location : Steve Hine’s Sports Facility (Milford, CT) |
* Note that as these are the only dates available, you are
required to attend
Try-outs at one of the designated time slots. The B - W
Draft will tentatively be held during the 2nd week in March ‘10, when
Players will be drafted onto their respective Teams for 2010.

SCREENING REQUIREMENTS : |

Rookies : |
For all
Players who registered for Rookies (will either be 7 or 8 as of
04/30/2010), these screenings are MANDATORY and you
MUST attend either of the dates so noted.
|

Any
Rookie Player who has registered and will be 8 – years old by
04/30/2010 also has the opportunity to voluntarily try out for the
Minors Division this year. A new policy adopted by the B – W Board
will allow those 8’s who are deemed capable of playing up in the
Minors the opportunity to do so with specific provisos. To view a

Minors : |
For all
Players who registered for Minors (will either be 9 or 10 as of
04/30/2010), these screenings are MANDATORY and you
MUST attend either of the dates so noted.

Any
Minors Player who has registered and will be 10 – years old by
04/30/2010 also has the opportunity to voluntarily try out for the
Majors Division this year. A new policy adopted by the B – W Board
will allow those 10’s who are deemed capable of playing up in the
Majors the opportunity to do so with specific provisos. To view a

Majors : |
For
all Players who registered for Majors (will either be 11 or 12 as of
04/30/2010), these screenings are MANDATORY and you
MUST attend either of the dates so noted.

Note that ALL Players who have registered in the B - W
will play in their respective League Division ; these Screenings will
allow the Managers / Coaches a opportunity to view the ability of all
the Players, which have been extremely successful in not only obtaining
parity among the Teams but also strengthens the League as a whole.
