APRIL 24, 2010
Opening Day Ceremonies for the Beth - Wood Baseball League {B - W}
are planned for Saturday, April 24, 2010. This year the B - W
will be celebrating its 38th year of providing a quality Baseball program in
the community this event draws hundreds of families / friends / residents
of Bethany and Woodbridge to the Town Center Green for a wonderful Ceremony
that kicks off the Baseball / Softball Seasons. The
Beth Wood Softball Little
League will also be
joining the B - W for this Ceremony, as they have done the
past few years.
Beth Wood Baseball, courtesy of the New Britain Rock Cats
organization, will again be running a radar gun booth at Opening Day so all
Players can test their arm speeds and have a chance to win valuable prizes.
The Rock Cats will also be hosting a Hit, Run & Throw Competition at Center
Field immediately following the Ceremony for all Players ages 10 & under

with a $ 1,000. donation to the League from the Rock Cats. Who is going to
be our next champion !!

at our 2009 Opening Day), Woodbridge Volunteer Fire Association & Bethany
Volunteer Fire Department with various apparatus for the kids to see /
explore, Beecher Road School Band marching our Players in, among many others
