WFBL OPENING DAY CEREMONIES
APRIL 26, 2008
Opening Day Ceremonies for
the Woodbridge
Fathers Baseball League {WFBL}
are planned for Saturday, April 26, 2008. This year the WFBL
will be celebrating its 36th year of providing a quality Baseball
program in the community this event draws hundreds of families / friends /
residents of Woodbridge to the Town Center Green for a wonderful Ceremony
that kicks off the Baseball / Softball Seasons. The
Beth Wood Softball Little League
will also be joining the WFBL for this Ceremony, as they have
done the past few years.
The
WFBL Auxiliary will be
running a radar gun booth at Opening Day so all Players can test their arm
speeds and have a chance to win valuable prizes. The Auxiliary will also be
selling WFBL
merchandise during the day, so stock up on your favorite items (these items
will include embroidered blankets, visors, tee shirts, umbrellas, water
bottles, sweatshirts, mock turtlenecks to name a few).
The
Woodbridge Volunteer Fire Association {WVFA}
works in close
harmony with the WFBL
and will again be volunteering their time to do the cooking, with all the
proceeds for food and drink to be 100% donated to their Fireworks fund for
the displays to be held in September. The WFBL is proud to be
a major Sponsor of the WVFA
