Our best wishes for a very Happy & Prosperous New Year !!  We all know that the backbone of the Woodbridge Fathers Baseball League {WFBL} and the Bethany Summer League {BSL} is the adult volunteer, dedicated people like yourself who not only serve diligently on our Board of Directors and manage / coach our Teams year after year. 

As quoted by Babe Ruth League :  “Today, more than ever, children need positive role models.  Today, more than ever, children need a wholesome outlet such as organized youth sports for the betterment of their physical and social well being.  Today, more than ever, Coaches need to go beyond teaching the rules and basics of the game.  Every Babe Ruth Manager and Coach has an obligation to his / her Players to provide them with the best possible instruction and leadership of which he / she is capable.

Like many national youth organizations, the WFBL seeks to attract the most qualified volunteers to Coach within our local program.  The WFBL has and will continue to be dedicated to educate its children and volunteers through the implementation of various Clinics and programs.

As part of Babe Ruth League’s goal to be the best that it can, it has recently developed and is offering an on-line Coaches Certification Program that hereby requires certification effective 2008.   Therefore, the WFBL / Bethany BSL is hereby making it mandatory that ALL of its Managers and Coaches take this on-line course and become certified prior to the start of the 2008 Season.  The cost is only $19.95 / Coach and apparently only takes 6 – 8 hours (once certified, this Certification when received is good for a period of 4 years, or through 2010) --  Just click on the link for Coaches Certifications to get started …

The WFBL will monitor the progress of these Certifications through a League Administrator in the Babe Ruth League system so we can effectively manage same.  So please take the time to download / read the Program attached and take the course without further delay ; note that failure to complete and submit this on-line course will result in your not being allowed to Manage or Coach within the WFBL.  Your utmost cooperation is certainly appreciated.
